The AirPods use the T2002 processor (H1). There are multiple internal names depending on where you look: AirPods1,2 and AirPods2,1.
Compatibility
Advanced features of AirPods (2nd generation) require iOS 12.2, tvOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, or macOS Sierra 10.14.4 and later.
