DemoUnit is a device enrollment application developed by Apple, designed for enrolling devices in the DCOTA program and locking them to store display mode. Devices can be enrolled without requiring any permissions. Enrolled devices cannot be removed without requesting a privileged DemoUnit user.
If a user is granted a specific MyAccess permission node, they can also manage already-enrolled devices through DemoUnit.
This also installs the DemoLoop application to enrolled devices, and if possible, installs anti-theft measures (thus the "Return to Apple Store" message).
