Magnifier is a built-in iOS app that displays a live camera image that can be digitally zoomed, or adjusted with image processing functions such as contrast, brightness, and color filters. It is also able to display and speak any detected text. As compared to Camera, Magnifier takes temporary still images, and does not save to the Camera Roll.
Magnifier was introduced in iOS 10.0 as a hidden app, accessible through a Control Center button or home button triple-click action after enabling the "Magnifier" accessibility setting. With iOS 14.0, it additionally becomes visible in the App Library, and can be added to the home screen. With iOS 15.0, the accessibility toggle was removed, rendering it always enabled.
