The iPhone 4 Case Program app was released by Apple on 23 July 2010 (2010-07-23) in response to the iPhone 4 "antennagate" controversy. It allowed owners of an iPhone 4 to order the official iPhone 4 Bumper, or one of a select number of third-party cases, at no cost.

The customer was eligible for the program if the device was purchased prior to 30 September 2010 (2010-09-30). Owners of devices purchased prior to 23 July 2010 (2010-07-23) were required to apply no later than 22 August 2010 (2010-08-22); otherwise, they were given a 30 day window following the device purchase. The app description indicates that serial number and IMEI are used to determine eligibility.

The full list of products made available were:[1]

  • Apple iPhone 4 Bumper - Black
  • Belkin Shield Micra for iPhone 4 - Clear
  • Griffin Motif iPhone 4 - Diamonds/Smoke

There is only one known version of the app, version 072210.5 (build 1.0). The app has a bundle identifier of com.apple.store.caseprogram, and a project name of Eastview is indicated in version.plist. The app filtered to only install on iPhone 4 by requiring the following device capabilities, all of which were new to the iPhone 4: front-facing-camera, camera-flash, and gyroscope.
