iTunes LP was a format for interactive albums that Apple introduced in 2009. It allowed artists to bundle additional content with their music, such as:

  • High-resolution artwork
  • Videos
  • Lyrics
  • Liner notes
  • Interactive features like games, quizzes, and slide shows

iTunes LPs were designed to provide a richer experience for music fans, similar to what they would get from a physical album. However, with the rise of streaming services and changes in music consumption habits, Apple phased out iTunes LPs in 2016.

Although iTunes LPs are no longer supported, some of their features have been incorporated into Apple Music, which offers exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, and more.
