This is 16 GB model of the iPod touch (5th generation). Quietly announced on 30 May 2013 (2013-05-30), it superseded the 16 GB iPod touch (4th generation). However, it excludes the rear camera, loop, and is only available in a Black and Silver color.

This model is actually identified as an N78AP (iPod5,1), and shares the same firmware. (SpringBoard contained some references to "N78aAP" in older versions of iOS.)
