The Shazam(RED) app was a special edition of the Shazam app, released in November 2009, in partnership with (RED), a charity organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver. The app's purpose was to raise awareness and funds to fight AIDS in Africa.

Key Features

  • Exclusive Content: The app offered exclusive content, including special (RED) editions of popular songs.
  • Donation Prompt: Every time a user identified a song using the app, they were prompted to donate $1 to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.
  • (RED) Branded Interface: The app's interface was customized with (RED) branding, highlighting the partnership and the charity's mission.

The Shazam(RED) app was available for download on the App Store, but it's no longer available for updates since August 2014.
