Apple Watch (1st generation)[edit source]
watchOS "1.0" and "1.0.1" are marketing versions; their true OS versions were 8.2 and 8.2.1, respectively. Since the OS version and marketing version now match as of watchOS 2.0, a fake OS version of 9.0 is specified for devices on watchOS 1.0 or 1.0.1 (watchOS 9.0 became reality in 2022).
