The Apple Wiki:About

From The Apple Wiki

The Apple Wiki was founded in October 2022 by iAdam1n and kirb, with the aim of consolidating public knowledge about Apple's products and their associated software. The wiki began as an amalgamation of data from The iPhone Wiki and iPhone Development Wiki.

This wiki aims to provide a comprehensive collection of public knowledge about Apple's products and their associated software. Whether you're a curious individual looking to learn more about Apple's technology or an experienced hacker seeking to work on a project, we welcome your participation. To contribute to the wiki, you will need to create an account.

Unless otherwise noted, contributions made to The Apple Wiki are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. This license allows others to use, modify, and distribute the content freely, as long as they attribute the original authors, and share any derivative works under the same license.

We are committed to maintaining the accuracy and neutrality of the content on our wiki, and we welcome your contributions to help us achieve this goal. Thank you for your interest in The Apple Wiki.

Note that the wiki uses UTC wherever possible.

We greatly appreciate your interest in supporting our mission, but The Apple Wiki does not accept donations. We believe in maintaining neutrality of information, and would rather not have any financial influence that might jeopardise this mission. The running costs of the wiki are fairly low, so we're happy to cover them without relying on donations.

If you're looking to make a donation that benefits the wiki, we'd like to suggest you consider a donation to the Internet Archive. Their work has been critical in preserving information for future generations, and their vast collection of archives (petabytes upon petabytes worth!) is invaluable in maintaining an accurate record of information. Internet Archive is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so donations are tax-deductible.
