- IIRC, breaking the chain of trust ultimately results in an untethered jailbreak. Breaking the chain of trust involves patching one of the boot sequence portions to not signature check the next portion. So if you break the chain of trust, you essentially have an untethered jailbreak. --5urd (talk) 23:26, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
