The Samsung S5L844A is a system-on-a-chip used in the iPod shuffle (2nd generation).
It is unclear whether this chip is related to, or in fact is, the S5L8441. While the chip is marked "844A", in the same way as other Samsung-based iPods, iPod Reset Utility 1.0.4 references the DFU image for iPod shuffle (2nd generation) under the name "S5L8441 Rev.1". Unlike other Samsung-based iPods and early iPhones, the iPod shuffle (2nd generation) DFU image doesn't appear to begin with the chip model in the image header.
