The Apple R1 is the first ARM-based SoC designed by Apple Inc as a Mixed Reality Coprocessor for its line of Apple Vision devices.

It was first introduced at Apple's WWDC 2023 on 5th June 2023 and debuted with the Apple Vision Pro.

It's identified internally as T6500.

The part number is APL1W08.

The R1 in the Apple Vision Pro, or possibly its firmware, is codenamed "Bora". The firmware is based on RTKit, making this the most powerful Apple chip running RTKit instead of XNU.
