To determine your iPod device model, refer to the lists of iPod classics, iPod minis, iPod nanos, iPod shuffles.

Some iPod firmware has a "display" firmware version and/or build number reported to the user that differs from the actual internal version and/or build number. The "true" version information is in parentheses.

Information relating to hardware revisions of iPod mini (1st generation), iPod nano (2nd generation), iPod shuffle (2nd generation), iPod shuffle (4th generation), and iPod with video (5th generation) is not yet fully verified. If a firmware doesn't work for your iPod, try other revisions listed.
