SafeView is a macOS app used by Apple Support to initiate remote screen sharing sessions with Apple devices. This is to be able to provide remote tech support and see the problem that is occurring. When support attempts to start a session, a box with terms and conditions is displayed to the user with accept/decline buttons. Once the session is started, the purple screen sharing menu bar item appears. The service appears to connect to a process within the OS itself (likely Screen Sharing) to achieve the remote screen sharing functionality.
